The Lord is the ultimate authority, but He puts people in government to lead us.
Those men and women will answer for how they lead. And we will answer for how we vote, because our vote is a reflection of our values and determines who leads.
As a Christian, my vote should reflect God’s Kingdom and His values — love, grace and kindness, the sanctity of life, personal responsibility, generosity and care for the vulnerable.
I’m hopeful today, not scared. I’ve prayed. I’ve voted. I’ve done my part.
I’m at peace, knowing that The Lord is not wondering which candidate will win this election. He already knows the outcome of our votes because nothing happens outside of His perfect plan.
And no matter who our next President is, God is still The Ruler of All Things.
