After reading many parent’s stories of their kids playing better with less toys, I’ve tried to keep Ivy’s collection to a minimum.
Every time I clean out and donate a few of her things, I notice she plays so much better with what’s left.
So for our cruise, I decided to really test this out and only took 2 books, 2 dolls, a baby quilt, a baby bottle and Ivy’s lovey.
For 10 days, this was all she had.
She never, not once, asked for anything else.
And for hours at a time, she would play with those 7 things alone.
Our kids don’t need near as many toys as we think!
They are creative and have great imaginations when we give them the space to do so.
What do you think? How many toys do kids need? What types of toys?
